Wadajir Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to fostering community development and unity. Our name, “Wadajir,” symbolises togetherness and collaboration, which forms the core of our mission.

We strive to empower individuals and communities through education, youth development, and social awareness. Our team is committed to creating lasting change by building bridges between diaspora communities and local residents, enabling collective progress in both local and international contexts.

A peaceful, united society where every child has access to education, from basic to higher levels, with support for vulnerable students and community collaboration.

Our Mission

Wadajir Foundation’s mission is to provide children with essential amenities, including food, shelter, and education, ensuring they live happy and healthy lives.

Aims of the Organisation

To promote basic education, secondary schooling, and higher education levels

To encourage and support young people in accessing educational opportunities and vocational training

To raise community awareness about the importance of education and knowledge development

To support vulnerable students, such as those unable to afford educational expenses

To collaborate with other educational and community development organisations to achieve shared goals

The Wadajir Foundation strengthens unity, collaboration, and mutual reliance within the community, both locally and internationally

Organisational Structure of Wadajir Foundation

The organization comprises the Central Council, the Executive Council, an Auditor, and Treasurers.

The Executive Council

The Executive Council consists of 5 members:

  • Chairperson
  • Deputy Chairperson
  • Secretary
  • Two Additional Members

The Central Council

The Central Council consists of 7 members:

  • Chairperson
  • Deputy Chairperson
  • Secretary
  • Four Ordinary Members

Treasurers

The treasurer of the Wadajir Foundation consists of three members.

Auditor

Where We Work

Our current base and the first school is located in Warder, in the Somali Regional State. The school is named Wadajir School. Our initiatives focus on building connections between diaspora communities and residents in their home countries. 

We are committed to serving individuals and communities wherever the need arises, providing support for education, youth development, and social empowerment. Our work spans across various regions to ensure no one is left behind in our mission for progress and unity
